Ferries are always coming and going in Osaka Bay.

A familiar ship sails past the ATC. The view from the window has hardly changed since the facility first opened.

On June 8th, an agreement was signed to further solidify the relationship between the ship and ATC.

Agreement concluded on June 8, World Oceans Day

On June 8, 2026, ATC (Asia Pacific Trade Center, Inc.) concluded a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. and Mitsui O.S.K. Sunflower Co., Ltd.

The connection between the Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Group and ATC dates back to 2008 when Ferry Sunflower's Beppu route moved to Oz Pier. In 2022, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Sunflower West Japan Headquarters moved into the 6th floor of Oz North, and in 2025, the permanent museum "Funeshiru" opened on the 2nd floor of the ITM building.

The date of this agreement coincides with "World Oceans Day," established by the UN General Assembly in 2008. I believe there is some significance in shipping companies and ATC joining forces on a day that reflects on the importance of the ocean.

The collaboration will cover a wide range of areas, including inheriting the legacy of the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, promoting the appeal of each facility, and increasing visitor numbers at ATC. The goal of this agreement is to enhance the value of the entire Osaka Bay Area, starting from Sakishima.

Looking back, we also signed a partnership agreement with steAm Co., Ltd. last month . The fact that we have concluded two agreements in such a short period of time is evidence that ATC is accelerating its collaboration with external parties.

You only need to add us as a friend once; all subsequent communication will be handled within LINE. It's a more convenient and reliable way to connect with the person in charge than by phone or email.

Whiskey will be gathered in Osaka on June 26th and 27th.

The "Whisky Festival 2026 in Osaka" will be held at ATC Hall on June 26th (Fri) and 27th (Sat). There's just about a week left until the event.

This year's significantly revamped program includes premium nights, tasting seminars, and opportunities to interact with producers—content that enthusiasts won't want to miss.

From agreements with shipping companies and collaborations for creative education to LINE's liaison service supporting businesses, ATC is expanding its connections in various ways, starting from its location in Sakishima.

Each individual event may seem small, but as we accumulate them, I feel we're gradually beginning to see what this place should be for our business.
