<Performer Profile>

Oboe: Saori Matsumoto

She began playing the oboe at the age of 13. She graduated from the music department of Nara Prefectural Takamado High School. She is currently a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Music, Soai University. She won 5th place at the 23rd All Japan Junior Classical Competition, the Grand Prix in the woodwind division of the 23rd Nara Prefecture High School Solo Competition, and participated in master classes with Olivier Stankiewicz and Tomoharu Yoshida. At the Rohm Music Foundation Music Seminar 2016 wind instrument class, she received lessons from Kenichi Furube, principal oboist of the New Japan Philharmonic, and chamber music lessons from Masaru Yoshida. At the 22nd Hamamatsu International Wind Instrument Academy & Festival, she received lessons from Luca Vignali, principal oboist of the Rome Opera House. She has previously studied with Reiko Daimon, Fusako Nakayama, and Ikuko Takayama. She is currently studying with Akira Shimizu.

Violin: Nanae Tsuda

She started playing the violin at the age of four.
Graduated from the Music Department of Soai High School, and is currently a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Music, Soai University.
Winner of the Grand Prize and the Takatsuki City Board of Education Award at the 16th Takatsuki Music Competition, High School Division.
Selected as a finalist in the 22nd Japan Classical Music Competition National Finals.
I have previously studied under Kazuhiro Tsuboi, and am currently studying under Reiko Morita.

Viola: Reina Nagao

She started playing the violin at the age of four.
Graduated from the Music Department of Soai High School. Currently a second-year student at the Faculty of Music, Soai University.
I participated in the Kyoto International Music Student Festival 2016.
Previously studied under Hiroko Kurokawa. Currently studying under Reiko Morita.

Cello: Tokuyasu Meri

I began playing the cello in the instrumental music club at Nara Women's University Secondary School.
Received the Encouragement Award in the University Student Division of the 8th All Japan Art Competition.
Participated in the Kyoto International Student Music Festival 2016.
Currently a fourth-year student in the Faculty of Music at Soai University. Studied under Kenhiro Saito and Hiroshi Hayashi.
