Mummies have a power that attracts many people, and at the root of this is surely the astonishment at the fact that the "form" of a person who died long ago remains intact.
This exhibition brings together 42 mummies from South America, Egypt, Europe, Oceania, and Japan, ranging from naturally mummified to artificially created, allowing visitors to learn about the different views on life and death and cultural differences behind each.
Furthermore, recent advances in science and technology have dramatically increased the amount of information that can be extracted from mummies, leading to a rise in academic interest.
This is an unprecedented "science-based" exhibition that introduces the true nature of mummies revealed by the latest science, their cultural and academic value, and the diverse views on life, death, and the body held by humankind.
