I traveled to Tunisia from February to March of this year.
Since most of my stay was during Ramadan, I had some difficulties with food, but I was able to see sights that are unique to Ramadan.
And for me, the biggest takeaway was being able to catch a glimpse of the Islamic world.
Although it is a photography exhibition, I have incorporated words into the works because I love creating worlds woven together with photographs and text.
We will also be displaying handwritten messages that local people have written in notebooks, presented as large-format photographs.
Someone I don't know, from a country I don't know. When I come into contact with their gaze and words, that distant world feels a little closer.
We hope you will be able to experience that kind of journey at the venue.
You'll definitely want to travel! "Travel Report Meeting"

Traveling Photographer Atsushi Kamiyama Profile
In 2017, at the age of 50, I began working as a "traveling photographer." Once a year, I travel the world for about one to three months.
After completing the 1,700km Christian pilgrimage route in Europe, I have visited Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and, since the end of the pandemic, various African countries.
Rather than photographing tourist spots or natural landscapes, my style is to immerse myself in the daily lives of ordinary people.
